Hello House (8–26 guests)
- The manual mahjong table is on 1F, on the same floor as the island kitchen. The kitchen doubles as the lounge, so the players and the cooks share one room.
- 1F also has a 43-inch smart TV with Netflix and YouTube.
Godin House (4–12 guests)
- The manual mahjong table is in the 4F lounge, next to a long table, benches and a sofa. Whoever is waiting for a seat can sit close by, chat or watch TV.
- Food prep is a fridge, a microwave and a sink. You can heat up takeaway, but there is no open flame and no real cooking.
At both houses
- Manual tables only (no automatic tables), with Taiwanese 16-tile sets, tile racks, dice and a wind indicator
- Four chairs at each table

Takeaway from the neighborhood
- Baozai Douru Chicken on Dagong Road: about 3 minutes on foot, open in the evening. Fried chicken marinated in fermented tofu, plus other fried snacks, all easy to carry back.
- A-Luo-Ha on Daren Road: dry-style braised snacks, a Yancheng favorite.
- Da-Kou-Pang charcoal-grilled sandwiches, about a minute from the end of our lane: open for breakfast and again in the evening, closed on Sundays. Check the day's hours before you go.
Cooking at Hello House
- Hot pot: PX Mart is about 4 minutes away on foot. Buy the ingredients, then cook between rounds.
- Instant noodles: add an egg and some greens for the easiest late-night meal.
- Drinks: stock the fridge first so nobody has to keep running out.
Keep food away from the tiles, and put drinks beside the table, not on it.
House Rules for Mahjong Nights
- Noise: after 23:00, please keep it down. That covers voices, scraping chairs and shuffling tiles.
- Look after the table: please don't slam it. When you finish, put the tiles away and push the chairs back in.
- Bring your own: you're welcome to bring your usual tile rack or a scoring app.
- Damage: normal wear and tear is not charged. Damage from misuse is charged at replacement cost.
