Pier-2 Art Center Accommodation
About a 13-Minute Walk from Yancheng

Pier-2 Art Center is a row of old harbor warehouses turned into galleries and shops. Yancheng, the old neighborhood next to it, keeps Pier-2, local food and the MRT within walking distance. From either of our houses:

• Pier-2 Art Center (Dayi warehouses): about 13 minutes
• KW2 warehouse: about 17 minutes
• Dagang Bridge: about 20 minutes
• Kaohsiung Music Center: about 23 minutes
• Yanchengpu MRT Station (O2): about 7 minutes

Yancheng is also one of Kaohsiung's best neighborhoods for food. Old breakfast shops, noodle stalls and late-night snacks are a few lanes away, so after a day at Pier-2 you can walk back and eat close to where you sleep.

Cijin is the other area people ask about. It sits across the harbor, so staying there means taking the ferry every time you go to Pier-2.

• Dagouding: the old covered market streets a few minutes from our lane, with snack stalls and small shops

Pier-2 and the harbor front

• Pier-2 Art Center: the Dayi warehouses have small design shops and cafés, and the Penglai warehouses host larger exhibitions and art installations
• KW2: the white carousel and harbor-side shops and restaurants
• Dagang Bridge: Asia's longest rotating harbor bridge. It rotates daily at 15:00, plus an extra 19:00 rotation on Fridays to Sundays and national holidays, and each rotation takes about 3 minutes
• Kaohsiung Music Center: the concert venue on the harbor front

• Love River: riverside paths for a walk or a bike ride

One MRT stop away (Hamasen Station, O1)

• The former British Consulate at Takao: red-brick buildings on the hill above the harbor, a popular sunset spot
• Gushan Ferry Pier: about 5 minutes by ferry to Cijin for seafood, the lighthouse and the rainbow church

Our two houses are in the same lane off Dagong Road, so the walking times are the same from both.

Godin House

• A five-story house for 4–12 guests
• 4 rooms, each with its own bathroom

• Food prep is a fridge, a microwave and a sink; no open-flame cooking
• Suits families and small groups

Neither house has an elevator.

Booking both houses together fits 27–38 guests (standard 34; groups of 35–38 use sofa beds). The two houses differ in price, size and room level, so compare the room types before you book.

When to go

• Weekdays are quieter and easier for photos.
• Weekends often have markets and pop-up events.
• The light is softest in the late afternoon, around 16:00–18:00.

Tickets

• Walking around the Pier-2 warehouse area is free.
• Some exhibitions charge admission; check the Pier-2 website before you go.
• Dagang Bridge is free to cross.

Eating

• Restaurants inside Pier-2 tend to cost more. The older shops in Yancheng, on your walk back, are usually better value.
• If you stay at Hello House, you can also cook in the island kitchen.

Getting here

• MRT: Orange Line to Yanchengpu Station (O2); Exit 2 is the closest to our houses.
• Light Rail: Dayi Pier-2 (C12) and Penglai Pier-2 (C13) stations are in the Pier-2 area.
